General Admissions Requirements

Undergraduate Admissions:

Associate's and Bachelor's Degree Programs:

All undergraduate degree students must demonstrate the completion of the General Education requirements including English, Math, Humanities, Natural Science, Social Science, and History. A minimum of fifty (50) quarter units of study applicable to the General Education Requirement, including the prescribed number of units, in the areas of English, (15 quarter units); Natural Science, (10 quarter units); Mathematics, (10 quarter units); Humanities, (15 quarter units); Social Science, (10 quarter units). 

 

These requirements can be completed through a combination of any of the following methods:

  1. Credit transferred from other colleges or universities.

  2. Credit earned at other institutions outside of the regular college or university system.

  3. Course-work completed through Newharbor International University.

 

* An applicant is eligible for admission at the upper division undergraduate level by meeting one of the following criteria:

1.  Possession of an Associate in Arts or Science Degree.

2.  Completion of 90 quarter units of study or equivalent, including the general education requirements.

3.  Demonstration of the ability to perform at the upper division undergraduate level.

 

Satisfaction of the above criteria will be determined by an in‑depth evaluation conducted by Newharbor International University consisting of formal education, life- and professional experience, specialized training, military service, and credit earned at other institutions outside of the regular college or university system.

 

Graduate Admissions:

Master's Degree Programs:

An individual is eligible for admission at the Master's level by meeting one of the following criteria:

  1. Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an acceptable institution.

  2. The equivalence of 180-quarter units of applicable undergraduate work as determined by an in‑depth evaluation of formal education, life and work experience, specialized training and military service.

Doctorate Degree Programs:

An individual is eligible for admission at the Doctorate level by meeting the following criteria:

  1. Possession of a Master's Degree from an acceptable institution is required for admission to a Doctoral Program. No transfer credit accepted at the doctoral level.

  2. Three (3) Letters of Reference attesting to the applicant’s relevant professional experience in the field of study.
